Ghana’s government has strongly denounced a drone attack at Dubai International Airport that injured two Ghanaian citizens on March 11, 2026.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed the pair received medical attention and are recovering in hospital. An ambassador-led delegation visited the injured nationals, describing their condition as stable.
The government stresses that targeting civilians or infrastructure is unacceptable, highlighting the need for protection. The ministry monitors the situation, liaising with UAE officials. “We reiterate our commitment to protecting Ghanaian citizens abroad,” the statement said, urging nationals in the Gulf region to stay alert and follow guidance from Ghanaian diplomatic missions and local authorities.
Ghana backs UN efforts to establish protection frameworks against such threats, ensuring citizen safety. The ministry assured updates will be provided as they become available.
