The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the temporary unavailability of Ghana’s online passport application platform due to technical challenges.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the Ministry said applicants may currently experience difficulties accessing the official passport application website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, to submit their applications.
According to the Ministry, its technical team is working with the National Signals Bureau to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
The Ministry apologised to applicants and other users for the inconvenience caused by the disruption.
It assured the public that an update would be issued once the online passport application platform has been fully restored.
