A Kia Rhino truck loaded with crates of Club Beer overturned at the Shangri-La bus stop along the Accra–Madina road on Friday, June 5, causing a temporary disruption to traffic.
The incident reportedly occurred when a commercial passenger vehicle (trotro) stopped abruptly to allow a pedestrian to cross the road, forcing vehicles ahead, including the beer-laden truck, to brake suddenly.
According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle in front of the truck made an unexpected stop, prompting the truck driver to swerve in an attempt to avoid a collision. In the process, the driver lost control, leading to the overturning of the truck.
The impact scattered several crates of beer across the roadway, with a number of bottles breaking upon contact with the ground.
Commuters and bystanders assisted in managing the scene, with portions of the cargo later retrieved.
Traffic flow along the busy Shangri-La stretch was temporarily slowed as motorists navigated the affected section of the road.
No injuries or fatalities were recorded in the incident.
