Musu Jatu Ruhle, Ambassador of the Republic of Liberia to Ghana, has conveyed condolences to the family of Austin Tengbe, a 26-year-old Liberian national who was killed in a mob attack in the Lashibi–Sakumono area of the Greater Accra Region.
In a statement, Ambassador Ruhle expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, noting that the government and people of Liberia stand in solidarity with them during what she described as a period of grief and national concern.
The Liberian Embassy in Ghana assured citizens both at home and abroad that it is engaging the Government of Ghana and relevant security agencies to ensure justice is pursued. Ghanaian authorities have launched investigations into the incident, and the Embassy says it is closely monitoring developments through official legal channels.
While condemning the killing, Ambassador Ruhle urged Liberians living in Ghana to remain calm, peaceful and law-abiding, emphasising the need to allow due process as both governments work collaboratively to address the matter.
The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of Liberian nationals overseas and pledged to provide updates as the case progresses.
