The late Madam Adwoa Tiwaa, a member of the gospel group Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo, will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Funeral arrangements indicate that her burial mass will take place at Presby Park, Bantama at 9am, after which she will be interred at Domeabra Ahafoman in the Ashanti Region.

Laying in state is scheduled for the same day at Bantama Presby Park, opposite Sefah Boakye Hospital, before the burial service. Final funeral rites will continue later in the afternoon at Presby Park, Bantama from 1pm to 6pm.

A thanksgiving service will be held the following day, Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Sokoban Ampayoo New Jerusalem Church from 8am to 11am, with funeral activities continuing in Bantama afterwards.

Tiwaa, affectionately known as Maame Tiwaa, died at the age of 60. Her passing has drawn tributes from fans of Ghanaian gospel music, particularly followers of Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo, where she became known for her distinctive voice and stage presence.
