The Foreign Affairs Ministry is alerting Ghanaians, especially youth, to beware of QNET and similar networks promising overseas opportunities. In a March 13 statement, the ministry highlighted cases of nationals being lured abroad with fake job or visa offers, often ending up stranded, detained, or exploited.
The ministry advises caution and verification through official channels before committing to travel or payments. It also urges community leaders to spread awareness about these scams, and parents and guardians to educate their wards. “The ministry will work with authorities to protect citizens and curb these criminal networks,” the statement said. Citizens can report suspicious activities to the ministry or security agencies, and should be vigilant when dealing with unsolicited offers
