The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of the Queenmother of Abamba near Amantin in the Atebubu area.
Rafiu Haruna, Muftawu Adamu, and Michael Owusu Spermi were apprehended following an intelligence-led operation by the police.
The Queenmother, Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan, was shot at her residence in the Methodist Church area of Atebubu on 25 February 2026. She later succumbed to her injuries.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, as authorities continue efforts to apprehend all individuals involved in the crime.
Police have appealed to members of the public with any information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
