US President Donald Trump has said Iran is being demolished “ahead of schedule and at levels people have never seen before”, claiming the country now has “no air force, no air defence” and the air force is “gone”.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani has warned that Iranian forces are “waiting” for any US ground invasion and are ready to “disgrace those corrupt American officials by killing and capturing thousands”.
At least 1,230 people have been killed in US and Israeli attacks on Iran since Saturday, and the semi-official Fars News Agency reports that two schools were hit by missiles in the town of Parand, southwest of the capital Tehran.
