The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has taken decisive action against Evanex Gold Enterprise, a Tier 2 licensed gold buyer, suspending its licence with immediate effect. The move follows a damning investigation that uncovered illegal gold pricing practices, breaching the terms of its licence.
In a strongly worded compliance notice, GoldBod warned all licensed traders, miners, and the public to cease any gold transactions with Evanex Gold Enterprise. “Notice is hereby given to all licenced traders, miners, and the public to desist from trading and/or engaging in any form of gold transaction with Evanex Gold Enterprise forthwith.”
GoldBod reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the laws and regulations governing Ghana’s gold trading sector, emphasizing that accountability and transparency are non-negotiable. The suspension is part of a broader effort to root out malpractice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
