Nine players have arrived at the Ghana national football team camp in Wales ahead of their pre-World Cup friendly against Wales on June 2 in Cardiff.
The early arrivals include Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Marvin Senaya, and Alidu Seidu, who were spotted in a video circulating on social media.
With most European football leagues now concluded, additional players are expected to join the team’s training camp in the coming days.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to officially announce the squad for both the Wales friendly and the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
However, GFA President Kurt Okraku has indicated that the final squad list will be released on June 1.
Ghana heads into the friendly on the back of a five-match losing streak, following a 2-0 defeat to Mexico national football team in their previous outing.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz has maintained that only “deserving players” will be selected for the expanded 48-team World Cup tournament.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England national football team, Croatia national football team, and Panama national football team as Ghana seeks to reach the World Cup knockout stage for the first time since 2010.
